BGN Swop Party #1

This past Sunday was the first official BGN Swop Party hosted by yours truely :)

The turn out could have been better but nothing could spoil the excitement of those who attended to come swop clothes. I was so busy, having handed in about 10 items... I left with nothing :( but a few goodies that I will be delivering to Mogudu childrens Shelter.

Before I could let everyone go, decided to have a little interview session with my awesome helpers/friends and this is what they had to say...

FASHION SWOP PARTY

Dear fashionistas

I just had an idea to host a fashion swop party. Did a little survey with my bbm contacts and the response was very good so this is my presentation to you.

*Swop will be of clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags. (No underwear please, lol)

*Minimum amount of five items in order to take part in the swop

*Items must be wearable, in good condition and clean

I will then open a facebook group and post all pics sent to me with the details. Bookings on items may be made before hand by commenting on the pic. Minimum of 3 people may book the item. Rules regarding bookings will be explained on the facebook group.

Invitation open to all who will be in around Pretoria/Johannesburg.

Date, venue and other relevant information will be confirmed once we get the ball rolling on sending through pictures.

PALULU LOVE: Fashion Show

What a well organised event this was. From the different stalls, to the bargain hunts to the fashion show. It was amazing, I had so much fun I wish it could happen like every week.

This post is mainly on the fashion show, there will be more on the stores and designers in my next post.

GUESS just turned 30 and to celebrate this anniversary, an in store event was hosted on 5 May 2012 at the GUESS Sandton Store.

From dj's in the store, to popcorn and bottled water (free for all by the way) it was quite a busy day. The Anniversary Collection itself drew in a lot of attention. Well done to Wiaan Van Rensburg (The Buyer) who put together this amazing collection.

A day at Sun City

Just a lil sneak peak of our trip to Sun City. It was rather spontaneous seeming as the decision was made the night before over drinks at Mi Bar. Overall, had an amazing day. Who doesn't love Sun City anyway...

As individuals our tastes and preferences in terms of style will never be the same. The sooner you come to accept this the more you will learn to appreciate your own style as well as others.

Lately I find myself walking into a store and opting not to purchase what I intended to purchase because it is not "normal" (yes, in my mind my style is not normal). But thats the thing, WHAT IS NORMAL? Yes, I like the things that most people would never think of buying, and yes I do get weird looks sometimes but I've learnt that at the end of the day, its about me and not what the next person will think.
